Vida was called in by the company behind VITES to help to enhance their initial development version of VITES.  They had developed a clever system, but it needed taking forwards beyond where they were able to as a company, and so they called in Vida as specialists in development to complete the development of the solution.

We developed the solution in perl, using a MySQL database behind it. It was a challenge as the development required not only a new server system, but also a meta-language to be developed for the purposes of using the system behind a website.

The system itself is a learning system. It is based upon the behaviour of a user on a website, and as such allows a website to change it's look and feel based upon who is using it.  So if you are a female and 25-34 it will take an educated guess after only a few clicks on the website that that is your demographic and display relevant content and/or adverts.

The system was developed in 3 months and recouped the development costs for the company almost immediately after the solution was sold into their client base.
